Lateral ventricles

 Score

1 = trace of blood or mild bleeding.

2 = less than half of the ventricle filled with blood.

3 = more than half of the ventricle filled with blood.

4 = ventricle filled with blood and expanded.

(Each lateral ventricle is scored separately)

Third and fourth ventricle

 Score

1 = blood present, ventricle size normal.

2 = ventricle filled with blood and expanded.

Total score (maximum = 12)
